Mirror polishing is one of the most commonly used decorative finishes for stainless steel, applied directly to engineering projects or as part of a more complex finishing process. We also provide mirror stainless steel sheet metal processing, such as laser cutting, bending, welding, and other CNC machining services. Mirror PVD coating and etching are also available.

*What is mirror polishing?

Mirror polishing - also known as #8 polishing. This polishing is achieved by polishing with a belt or grinding wheel. Care must be taken to ensure all surface imperfections are removed. The quality of the polishing depends on the quality of the metal being polished. Some steel and aluminum alloys cannot achieve a mirror polish. Castings with slag or pits are also difficult to polish to a mirror polish.

Advantages - Unbreakable mirror sheeting can be achieved. Because the surface is very smooth, it limits the possibility of contaminants and material reaction, thus increasing corrosion resistance.
