STAINLESS STEEL 316 QUALITY SUMMARY
Stainless Steel 316 quality products offer high corrosion protection, even under harsh conditions, due to the molybdenum they contain.

While other stainless steels are vulnerable to saltwater, 316-grade stainless steels are resistant to seawater, chemical cleaning agents, phosphorous acid, and acidic acid-containing products (e.g., phosphorus fertilizers, cleaning agents, acidic beverages, insect repellent, etc.).

This product group, preferred by those who want to maintain their work for a lifetime, has the disadvantage that, due to its resistance to corrosion, it is more difficult to process than other stainless steels. Due to the high cost of molybdenum, the material's cost is approximately 30% higher.
